Michael Stanton Smith

Talent / instrument: -- Lead and rhythm guitar, 12 string, mandolin, harmonica, keyboards and vocals  

When did you start playing? -- Age 16 - I used to watch my dad play his Teisco Del Ray through his little Acetone amp

 Who were your early influences? -- I started jamming to the Kiss "Alive" album. I liked AC/DC, The Sweet, loved Eddy Van Halen (still my guitar hero...tap tap), Rush and Aerosmith. Currently a big Dave Matthews Band fan.

How old were you when you played your first gig? -- 11th grade, probably about 17. We played all over South Dakota and parts of Iowa (yes, we got stranded). The bands name was "Mariah".

 What are you currently listening to? -- "Two Step" by the Dave  Matthews Band
